I love Fall

Here are just somethings that I realized that I love about FALL!!
I Love the sound of leaves under my feet
I Love the smell of the fireplaces
I Love the feel of the crisp air, making me get all bundled up
I Love getting sweater hugs
I Love it when the leaves are falling
I Love it...all of it and more that I have yet to discover.

Bad thing is that I have to come home tomorrow, so I better soak it all in.

Today Erick and I took a stroll around Stone Mountain! So beautiful, I can't wait till I get home and can upload the pictures, I took some good ones! So tomorrow my friend Bridget and I are going to attempt to cook our first Thanksgiving dinner. I hope that it comes out good. We she and her husband are actually going to cook the turkey, but I am going to make the green bean casserole, and maybe make the mashed potatoes. I also saw one of favorite WOLBI people Valerie! I love her, she makes me want to be in Georgia more than anything else. She is just one of those friends that makes you feel loved and she is just filled with the Lord and it shows.
It has been quite fridged, but I am not minding it so much, once I look at the trees and the hills, it is worth the 40 degree weather during the day, and 30's at night. Right now Erick and Chris are playing wii, and I think I am about to call it a day.
I hope that you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the people around your table!
I am Thankful for my Lord, friends, and family!

Taste and See....The Lord is always good

So today Erick and I received some not so good news, we found out that both of us have issues in the baby making department, and if we were to put it into a percentage as to what are chances are of getting pregnant...it would be around a 12% chance (maybe lower) of conceiving naturally. Not so good. I was talking to some friends tonight about this and when I was, I wasn't feeling to bad or sad about it, I was actually thinking that it was funny. Why? Defense mechanism that helps to repress my true feelings? Feeling like no more news could make the situation harder? Well then the Lord put into my lap, that my Pappaw is in a coma, and Hospice is coming tomorrow. I have mentioned this earlier but this will be the first person in my life to die, first person that I "know" and is family. I have never experienced a death. So now I am feeling it... (Teri :( )My heart is aching, I realized I have been ran down by a steam roller, and my husband is not here to hold me. But then at the same time I feel comforted, like a spiritual fight. Half of me ready to make a HUGE pity party, and the other half whispering...Relax...Stop being so hormonal... Hold onto Hope...pain will only last for a night...joy in the morning...come to me weary and heavy laden I want to give you rest...rest from your plans...I am here to bring peace not confusion...my thoughts are higher than yours my plans are better than yours...Taste and see, I am good.
Sorry if I am bringing any of you down, I guess I just need accountability.

Copy from Carly

I wanted to think about 7 random facts about me, and share them with whom ever wants to read and learn about me.

1. I hate to iron, I know a lot of people probably have this same fact, but it is so bad that I can't wear half of my wardrobe :(

2. I love Agatha Christie books...LOVE THEM...she is one of my favorite females authors, she has been dead for many many years, but she wrote some great books before she died. They are like a Boxcar Children for adults. My favorite male author is Frank Peretti. Beware when you pick ones of his books up it is hard to put down. I haven't had much time to read lately, but shoot these authors run through my mind when I am bored and call me to read them!

3. I can't get work done in a messy, congested, loud room. When I am doing work (for my Master's) I need to have silence and order, or I can't get a thing done. My husband on the other side can read a book in the mall...crazy.

4. On the similar lines but not, I have to sleep with a noise machine because I can't sleep with peace and quiet.

5. I don't drink soda or coke. Gross I had some Cherry pepsi the other day I had 3 sips and couldn't drink anymore. I get head aches from the sugar and caffeine anyways. I try not to consume that much caffeine in a day, maybe just a green tea's amount which is about 1/3rd a cup.

6. I actually like Chemistry...I just don't like to teach it because I get frustrated when I do my best to explain it but have half of the class talking or doing work from another class...ahhh and then they are like what I don't get it, do it again.

7. I am a tea freak, not like your normal sweet tea, but like herbal and jasmine green tea, I normally have a cup or two a day! I bought out Teavana the first time I went!

So there is a little more about me!

I love my Papaw!

This weekend I went to visit my sweet Papaw who is now in a physical rehabilitation center, because he is not able to walk, has very low blood pressure and is always tired. So sad :( But her are some pictures from my visit.

A little more about Papaw, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer about a year ago and this is what he used to look like
Before

And the pictures on top show the after effects of cancer, he lost about 200 pounds! Whoa! But the Lord has been good to him, he tells us that he is not in a lot of pain, and that makes me feel better.

A Biblical Perspective...a good reminder

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God." (Romans 13:1)

This day in our country we will vote for the men and women who will lead us for several years. Their beliefs and philosophies will impact our lives far beyond their specific terms in office. The choice we make is both a rare privilege and an awesome responsibility.

There are three perspectives that would be good for us to review as we prepare to exercise this duty.

First to consider is what this will require of us as subjects of those who are appointed over us. We will be required to:

• Submit to the laws they enact (1 Peter 2:13).
• Pay the taxes they require (Romans 13:6).
• Honor their authority (1 Peter 2:17).
• Pray for them by name (1 Timothy 2:1-3).
• Fear them if we do evil (Romans 13:4).
Then, there is the anticipated behavior of what we should expect them to do. They should:

• Be a terror to evil works (Romans 13:3).
• Exercise the "sword" of judgment against those who do evil (Romans 13:4).
• Promote a "quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty" (1 Timothy 2:2).
• Punish evil and praise good (1 Peter 2:14).
Finally, all who ultimately are placed in authority over men are there by God's appointment (our text). Sometimes the most unassuming are raised up (1 Samuel 2:8) or the evil leader is used to demonstrate God's power (Romans 9:17). We must seek God's will in our choices, but we can be assured that He is in charge (Psalm 11:4).

It's an aOBAMAnation

I am not surprised that Obama won, but I do feel very uncertain.I just don't like the fact that the US will be ran primarily by a VERY liberal left side. Also just think of all the poor babies that will not have a chance...I would adopt them. The good news is that God has allowed for this man to be put into office, and God is still in charge!
